Florida State law requires you to obtain a Florida driver’s license within 30 days of establishing residence. Provide proof of residency, valid insurance, and prior license information. If you possess a valid driver’s license you may only need to take a written exam or eye test.

Vehicle Registration

Florida State law requires you to register your vehicle within 30 days after moving. The cost of registration is based on the weight of your vehicle. You must provide proof of insurance and automobile title to any tag office.

To be eligible to vote in Hillsborough County you must be a US citizen, at least 18 years old, and a county resident. You must register to vote at least 29 days before an election.

Hillsborough County requires all dogs and cats to be vaccinated for rabies and have a Hillsborough County Rabies Tag. All dogs must wear the tag, be confined to their owner’s property, and be under control of their owner in public areas.
