Vehicle Registration
Florida requires new residents to register their vehicles and purchase Florida state plates within 10 days of residency. Each vehicle brought into the state is subject to an initial $100, fee in addition to title charges and annual license tag fees. Fees vary according to size and weight of vehicle. Proof of insurance and an emission test are required with new plates.
Expired Tag Renewal
All vehicle must pass a vehicle inspection. The fee is $10, payment in cash only, and they do not except bills larger than a $20 dollar bill.

There are no residency time requirements to vote in Florida, however, proof of residence if required; you must also show proof of being at least 18 years of age.
