Driver’s License

You are required to obtain a Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of establishing residence. If you have a valid out-of-state license you will only need to take a written exam and eye test. Provide ID, and proof of residency.

Vehicle Registration

COLORado license plates must be obtained within 30 days of residency. To register your car, provide a valid emissions sticker, your vehicle ID number, and proof of ownership. COLORado state law requires an emissions inspection at the time of registration renewal.

All emissions stations are open Monday through Friday 8:30-7:30 and Saturdays 8:00-1:00. No appointment is necessary.

Pets

Dogs and cats living in the Denver area must be licensed annually and vaccinated against rabies.
