Drivers License
You must get a Texas driver's license within 30 days of establishing residency. If moving from out of state you'll need a vision test, out-of-state license/Social Security Card, proof of Texas vehicle registration, proof of insurance coverage.

Vehicle Registration
Vehicles must be registered within 30 days of establishing residency in Texas. You'll need to register your vehicle prior to getting your Texas driver's license. To register, you'll need: state inspection, proof of insurance coverage, title and vehicle identification certificate.
Voter Registration
You may register to vote at the Post Office, public libraries and at the Elections Department. It takes about 30 days from the date of application to become registered.
